Character Design Project - Mirania

Behold the end result of a 'Let's bite off more than I can chew' concept. A discussion with led to me developing a golem girl, inspired by the version from the Monster Girl Encyclopedia. I have deviated from my original sketch quite a bit, reworking aspects of her brick-work armour from scratch - a difficult but rewarding task, since it gave me a bit of practice working on perspective.
I named her Mirania because it was the first to come to mind. I honestly don't know if I'll draw her again, due to the fiddly detailing and endless line-work needed for designing all the bricks, but it was, overall, a fun project. I finished it all off by re-colouring some lines to resemble mortar holding bricks together, and added a couple of little details as shout-outs - you might spot not only the Rebel Alliance Starbird, but the dot patterns which make up the 'faces' of Registeel, Regice and Regirock are on her body too.

It's now time to start making some evolutionary steps.
