Joanna van Basten reference

I have been desperate for a bit of inspiration, so I used this to fire my engines up. I had a version done, then I didn't like it as much because I thought I could add a little more to her pose. I can still work with this, but given this is what counts as a quick work for me, I don't think I did too badly. I admit I messed up one or two things - the katana at the top is not to scale and I left a note admitting that, plus I goofed a bit on the bow - but I think everything is starting to come together given I rarely draw.
ANYWAY.
You may have seen the picture on my profile featuring my OC Janus - this is his little sister, Joanna. She's a cheerful, bouncy and energetic contrast to her more stoic and cynical brother, and is almost always smiling. Janus has kept himself together through tough times because he really doesn't want to make her sad - he considers her smile one of the most beautiful things in the world.
Joanna winds up helping out in the mercenary company Janus works for, although her completely unorthodox methods nearly get her in strife a few times. She does become quite an important character, though she cops a bit of teasing because she's nearly completely flat-chested. I deliberately designed her like this - she is something of a nod to an anime series I like, Burst Angel (which also has a flat-chested protagonist named Jo, but the personalities are dramatically different), but also an intentional contrast to my usual preference for huge boobs.
